This Privacy Policy explains what data the Multilanga plugin and the Multilanga API (the "Service"), operated by DoubleCoded ("we", "us"), collect and how we use it. It complements the "External Services" section shown on the plugin's WordPress.org page.

Who we are

Multilanga is a WordPress plugin and companion API that machine-translates the content of your website. Contact: info@multilanga.com.

What the plugin sends to the Multilanga API

  • Content for translation. Text segments from your public pages that need translating, plus the source and target language codes. Sent by a background task when new or changed content is found — never during a normal visitor page view.
  • License & site information. Your license key, site URL, plugin and WordPress version, and whether WooCommerce is active. Sent when you verify your license and once a day as a heartbeat, so a license can be validated and moved between sites you own.
  • Installed plugin slugs. The public wordpress.org directory names of your active plugins (e.g. woocommerce), so we can fetch those plugins' official translations. No settings or plugin data is sent.
  • Sign-up (optional). If you request a free license from the plugin, the email address you enter and your site URL are sent to create it.

What we do NOT collect

  • No visitor personal data is transmitted.
  • Customer data in WooCommerce order emails is never sent for translation.
  • We do not track your site's visitors.

Where translations are stored

All translations are stored locally in your own WordPress database. We do not keep a copy of your translated pages. To improve quality and reduce cost, short, non-identifying text segments and their translations may be cached in a shared translation memory that can be reused across sites; this cache does not include site URLs, license keys, or any personal data.

Service providers (sub-processors)

  • Groq — performs the AI translation of submitted text.
  • Supabase — hosts the Multilanga API, license records and translation memory (EU region).
  • Stripe — processes payments for paid plans (we never see your full card details).
  • Resend — sends transactional email (for example, your license key).

Legal basis & retention

We process the data above to provide the Service you request (performance of a contract) and to operate it securely (legitimate interest). License and billing records are kept for as long as your account is active and as required by law; submitted text is processed to return a translation and is not retained as a copy of your pages.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (such as your email and license record) by emailing info@multilanga.com. Uninstalling the plugin removes its data from your site; releasing your license removes the site binding on our side.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
